A "gris" from our Eastern Alps

Lis Neris, a great selection for our palates as we prepare to celebrate one of the most important celebrations of the Christian Catholic family tradition, we will talk about a wine belonging to the great selections of a cellar of the Oriental Alps, Lis Neris. The winery is located on the first pages of the famous Collio, an airy wine-cellar famous for its wines from white and red grapes. The river Isonzo is the boundary from where the territorial area called Collio or Collio Gorizia begins, characterized by a low population density compared to about 150 sq km of surface. San Lorenzo Isontino, whose administrative natives were particularly stormy, is a municipality with an altitude above sea level. Very moderate (Poch tens of meters). In this territory, in remote times, there was the sea. Therefore it is a very fertile area for agriculture and it provides a particular vigour to the vine plants from which the wines of the Collio are born. The other atmospheric agents, including the Wind (famous Bora) and a more unique terrain that is rare formed by pebbles called claps reminiscent of the sediments "cousins" of the graves, famous French region near Bordeaux, are able to confer to the wines the typical terroir Friulano. Their power is, in fact, very sincere, straightforward, direct. The tasting label is part of the product line called "selections". It is a pinot grigio of the grape harvest of 2008. A brilliant golden yellow that unleashes its complexity and meaning in the glass phase. It is a Pinot grigio that goes beyond the Orthodox convention of the "Auburn" as the French define it (Gris), although its label (and only that) brings to mind these customs of the Alps.  The sense of smell radiates all its finesse that materializes in an elegant intensity and complexity. To drink the wine is soft, a flavor and a freshness contained and surrounded by an important alcoholic charge for a white wine. The excellent persistence helps the pleasant memory of the chalice just tasted. In the widest Christmas tradition, the right combination for the combination of the day is without a doubt a reach of fish, perhaps of medium-high fat, but certainly with a persistence useful to support the qualities of this beautiful wine. http://lisneris.it/wines/gris-pinot-grigio-friulano-friuli/
